My Chinese mom regretted her marriage to my white dad

I remember when my mom was dying from hepatitis infection, she told me not to go back with my white dad to his redneck town. It’s funny cause everytime I go back there to visit, I notice there are a bunch of Asian women married to local redneck or whatever white dudes. It’s like they’re just bussed in to do the jobs no white woman wants to do.

My mom hated going to that small town and used to get panic attacks. To be Chinese, carrying genes that evolved in highly socialized city environments, to go live with your white sponsor in the middle of nowhere to fulfill his dreams of having “a woman” to live his “conservative country bumpkin lifestyle” is indeed panic inducing even to think about.

I always wonder – what on earth do these Asian and other women of color see in marrying into these backwater nowhere places, which are basically hell on earth? I guess it’s better than marrying an Asian guy who would probably expect sex. After all, marrying an ugly redneck means that he won’t be able to cheat no matter what, because he can’t.

But it’s funny cause these are the same people pretending that their children will be master race Eurasians, when in reality we’re mostly descended from weird, unattractive white guys with yellow fever, and self hating Asian moms.
